Millennium Cell and Gecko Energy Technologies have developed a fuel-cell powered wireless camera prototype system with infrared sensing and audio capability.
The prototype was yesterday set to be demonstraed at the US-based Homeland Defense Conference sponsored by InSitech, but the idea of a quick to recharge camera could appeal to consumers.
The camera integrates Millennium Cell's Hydrogen on Demand sodium borohydride fuel cells and Gecko's PowerSkin technology into a hydrogen battery.
The battery can also power remote surveillance equipment and portable-device recharging applications.
